Social Media and Wine

So, as I now enter what is more or less the 3rd month of the launch of my wine label 'plonk' I've realized that I'm really enjoying writing about the progression of the wine.  My question is, can Social Media alone create a nationally recognized wine brand?  I would love some feedback or ideas about this.

Michael - I've been reading a ton over break and I've found some great stuff on social media. I've e-mailed you directly (corporate account) for some and posted a bit to my Facebook page. Also take a look at my follow list on Twitter - I think there are some great folks there who would be worth monitoring. Also check out the blogs of some of these same folks - I find the full-form blog posts are often more insightful than the 140 characters that twitter allows.
